Here’s a bit of my backstory

My mom was a positivity seeker

and a therapist. This meant she had us drinking green veggie juice, eating carob pods from a tree, meditating with Indian swamis, soaking in healing mineral springs and “communicating our feelings” since I was in kindergarten.

At the time, I really wished we could just go to McDonald’s like other kids but no, we were sautéing vegetables and eating tofu. Needless to say, when I went to my friends houses, I raided their cookie pantries!

I believe in synchroncity! do you?

After acting in plays/musical theater in school and graduating University of CA Los Angeles, I worked as an assistant to television directors and producers. I learned a lot and had a blast traveling with them but at 27 years old, I felt completely lost. I was helping my bosses realize their dreams but what about mine? I didn’t see myself moving up in entertainment (not many women were) and I wasn’t using my creativity. Also, I was getting sick all the time and that’s when I realized this industry wasn’t right or healthy for me anymore.

Nervously (but knowing it was the right choice), I quit my good-paying job at Sony. I felt so far behind my friends who seemed to know what they were doing. It was a very dark time for me so I dove back into my spiritual practice. I meditated, prayed and took lots of beach walks asking God/Universe what I was meant to be doing. What was my purpose here?

As I opened my heart to new ideas, Feng Shui came into my life a few months later when my parents gifted me a feng shui consultation for my birthday! How fun!

Very eager for change, I implemented all of the Feng Shui enhancements and was amazed at the positive results. I started telling everyone about Feng Shui and plunged into reading every book and taking loads of healing energy courses. I then studied with Grand Master Choa Kok Sui and eventually became a certified Feng Shui consultant.

Gotta say, I didn’t see that coming. Becoming an entrepreneur in a feng shui business was not something I learned at UCLA but I went for it because I loved it. By the way, I worked some very menial jobs at the same time. In fact, $1 bean burritos at Taco Bell were a staple for a time! I’m sure I chased it with a green drink though.

Just a few years later, I decided I wanted to write my own Feng Shui book and made a manifestation board for it. Put it in my Fame center and looked at it everyday. You guys! Four months later, I manifested the beginnings of a book deal. OMG! I “randomly” met a UK book publisher on the beach in Malibu. It was synchronicity at every level. He just happened to be on that beach and in town for one day. He was taking the red eye to NYC that night. He loved my idea that ‘Feng Shui is a lifestyle,’ recommended I write a book proposal and told his NY publisher contact about me the next day. What? I ran to Barnes and Nobles to buy “How to write a non-fiction book proposal.”

Within six months, I had a book deal with that very publisher in NY! I was on cloud nine but then reality hit and it was seriously daunting. I remember feeling fearful to the point of paralysis for a good month plus I had major imposter syndrome but I pushed forward since I was on a deadline. I had no idea how to write a book and yet, I figured it out along the way.

I wrote non-stop and just two months after my book was published, “Feng Shui Your Life “ landed on the LA Times best-sellers list! So exciting! Have you ever recalled seeing a feng shui book on a bestseller‘s list? After that, I was invited to do design makeovers on “The Today Show” and other shows too.

All of this was on my manifestation board, my house had great feng shui and I worked really hard for my dream. Well, Oprah was on my board too. We’ll see if that manifests at some point in my life.

My friend… If you let go of the things (jobs, relationships, negative situations) that deplete your energy and aren’t good for you, you open up the space for something new to come in. Quitting that job at 27 made space for magical opportunities which I took and led me to a fulfilling career I’m passionate about.

Can you see how when you’re brave and step out of your “uncomfort zone,” you step into the field of possibilities?

When not feng shui consulting, speaking for companies or leading retreats, you’ll find me hiking in the mountains or walking by the ocean in CA, learning Italian and eating gelato on a cobblestone street in Italy, dreaming of pink villas, buying flowers at the farmers market, disco dancing in my kitchen and doing my best to “walk my talk.”

I must admit, my greatest joy is curating and leading Women’s Rejuvenation Retreats.

My dear one, (if you’re still reading), I’m beyond grateful and honored to have you be an integral part of my community. Your presence here means everything to me. I hope my intention to help you feel happier, healthier and more inspired comes across in my posts and book. Thanks so much for reading a bit of my story and hopefully it inspires you to keep moving forward to live your best life.

Sending pink light & positive energy your way!
