Hello my friends!

Waking up in our beautiful room on Day 7 was a delight! I felt so grateful at how beautifully our Magical Marrakech Retreat had unfolded. All the months of emailing, planning, creating schedules and feng shui lesson plans worked out perfectly. Everything that could go right, did go right! Yay for manifestation!

My husband was amazing as our expert guide and organizer. He executed to the “T” our wishes for the group to experience Morocco like natives. We didn’t just visit Morocco; we lived amongst the people. The group absorbed every morsel of Zouhir’s thoughts about his country’s culture, food and customs. Thanks Zouhir for everything you did to make our trip so special!

Our week of adventures in Morocco included an historical tour of Marrakech’s old city, a trip to the coastal town of Essaouira, a Moroccan cooking class, a day of shopping and spa’ing in the famous souk as well as hiking, lunching and learning feng shui by waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains. A highlight was our visits to a few women’s cooperatives for making Argan oil, Morocco’s beauty secret for the face, body and hair.

Living in the medina (ancient city of Marrakech) was like nothing any of us had ever experienced. It’s alive in a way that you don’t see in America. Our guests walked the streets in awe and the Moroccan people were so welcoming and gracious. One dried fruit vendor even invited us to climb inside his stand and take a picture!

After our final yoga class with Aisha and another yummy breakfast, we snapped a group picture in our new Moroccan garb! The colors of our dresses are so rich and vibrant. All the ladies were excited to wear them while lounging in the house or by the pool back in the States!

We then gathered in of the Riad’s living rooms and I gave a last class on Meditation and Manifestation. I led the group in practicing a heart-centered meditation, the one I share in Chapter 2 of my book Feng Shui Your Life. After the energy was flowing, I taught techniques for writing powerful intentional statements and creating manifestation boards; the same type of board I used to manifest my book deal and this retreat!

Our group had a few final hours to shop to their heart’s content! It’s amazing how much people can buy when they know their time is limited! Moroccan poufs (ottomans), leather jackets, brass hardware and spices came flowing in.

That night, we had a fabulous farewell dinner at Le Blokk, a fancy cabaret style restaurant outside the city. (We missed Judy and Alex who left early to get back to the States.) The restaurant was upscale, the food and drinks were delicious and the singers were great!

They sang songs from the 70s and 80s, everything from French standards to “We are the World.” Some of us even got up and danced. What a blast!

The next morning, we got together for a final breakfast and shared about our experiences. As people were getting ready to leave for the airport, there were tears of joy and hugs of gratitude for being part of such a blessed trip.

Infact, those in the group who have traveled extensively shared that the retreat atmosphere, where like-minded people are all focused on life enhancement, added a more meaningful level to the travel experience. I wholeheartedly agree. During this magical week, we have definitely Infused Our Spirits!

Straight from the balconies of our Riad, you can watch videos of Darlene, Regina , Theresa, and Joan as they share their individual experiences about our Magical Marrakech retreat. Keeping the group small definitely created intimacy and connection among the guests. The youngest participant was 21 years old and our most mature was turning 70!

Our 2011 Marrakech retreat ended with tremendous love and gratitude. As you can imagine, we can’t wait to plan the next one! Contact me if you’d like to be emailed info and dates for Magical Marrakech 2012 when it’s available. I’ve already received many inquiries so keep your eyes and heart’s open.

Thanks for being a part of our journey and sending positive energy your way,

Jayme Barrett
