“I traveled to Morocco in September 2011 to participate in Jayme Barrett’s 8 day Feng Shui and Yoga retreat in the heart of Marrakech. It was a beautiful combination of study, adventure and mind, body, spirit exploration. Upon arrival, we were transported through stone pathways of the ancient Medina (old city) to our incredible hidden 300 year-old Riad (Moroccan mansion). Each day was a new journey deep into this land rich in culture, food, people, custom and prayer.

From morning yoga on the roof garden, to daily sprawling gourmet meals, every single detail of the retreat was thoughtful, organized, purposeful and generously arranged toward truly experiencing Moroccan life. Each day there was a new discovery… from a fabulous Moroccan cooking class, to day trips hiking deep into the mountains and strolling through sunny coastline villages, to a depth of insight into Feng Shui practices taught by Jayme in our Riad sipping Moroccan tea or amidst our adventures in the countryside.

And from exquisite Moroccan feasts in the evenings to heavenly relaxation in a traditional Hammam (Moroccan spa), walking the grounds of palatial palaces or ancient Mosques, Jayme is an expert when it comes to creating not only a full heartfelt experience, but a journey that is infused with energy, joy, learning and sharing. She leads people in a practical yet inspired way to choose their best life, and this trip is no different. And with Jayme’s Moroccan husband, our group was guided through the culture, language and experience with Zouhir’s gracious help and deeply authentic perspective. The two of them together offered a stunning retreat for anyone who is excited to delve into his or her own self, while exploring the colorful and vibrant beauty of Morocco.
