Take Your Power Back with Self-Care
Being clear about what you need in order to thrive is powerful. Loving yourself is powerful. Standing in your own knowing is powerful. When you do this, you’re not putting your life in someone else’s hands. You’re not waiting for someone else to say “you matter” or “you’re worth it.”
We need to say “I’m worth it” to ourselves. We need to feel it deep in our bones.
Caring for yourself is how you take your power back. You decide how much time you need for healthy eating, moving your body, creating boundaries, quiet time, spiritual uplift, creative inspiration and more. You can decide what is the right balance between being productive and just being. Focusing on ‘being’ without all the doing and striving is another key to self-care.
We feel much more in control of our lives when we make intentional choices about our own time and energy. Perhaps it’s walking in a field of flowers or taking a bath or reading an inspiring book. Making time for nourishing activities is key to healthy living.
Make sure to fill your own energy tank first. That’s the way to operate out of energy abundance as opposed to sheer will power. Operating from an energy deficiency is unhealthy. Consistently pushing yourself through exhaustion leads to energy banckruptcy… and it takes a very long time to pull yourself back from that kind of depletion or illness.
Right now, please go to your date book or calender and start scheduling me-time, self-care, self-love, quiet time… whatever you want to call it so you feel empowered to live your best life! Is it 30 minutes a day during the week and 1 hour a day on the weekend? Or it is more? You know what is right for you.
Let’s take our power back and become energy abundant! Feel free to send this post to a friend who needs to be reminded to take back her power.
