I’m Jayme Barrett and I’m passionate about helping women lead happier, healthier, more inspired lives. One of my favorite ways to create life-changing experiences is by personally curating and leading rejuvenation retreats all over Europe, Italy and Morocco for the last 15 years as well as through my best-selling book “Feng Shui Your Life,” life enhancement consulting and personal coaching.

A recent guest called our retreat “a light, beautiful, heart-felt adventure with mind-opening experiences… a truly life-changing event.”

On this 16th year leading these magical retreats, I’m thrilled to invite you to a stunning retreat location in the Puglia Region plus a day trip to ancient Matera. Our guests, who come from all over the US and around the world, have the best time together! They become friends for life. Most importantly, for you, it is also a chance to fully exhale with no demands, no caretaking, just space to reconnect with yourself and your own juicy desires. I’d love you to join our retreat sisterhood! We had an incredible time last year and can’t wait to take a new group to this unique part of Southern Italy.

We have only 12 spots and it is first-come, first-served with a deposit. If you are serious about joining us, email us here as soon as possible to secure your space. They always sell out.

Be ready to open your heart and have fun with like-minded new friends. Read the fabulous details and may you be as inspired as I am! (Retreat pricing below.)

Exploring Puglia – Our home for the week

The Cathedral in the town of Altamura (photo from wiki)

Our Puglian Adventure in Southern Italy is based in the historic center of Altamura, a soulful hill town where ancient cobblestone streets, sunlit piazzas, and everyday Italian life create a rich and grounding backdrop for our retreat experience. Our home for the week is a beautifully restored noble palazzo located directly in the town center, just steps from the cathedral, shops, cafés, and local restaurants. The elegant hotel offers a feeling of warmth, beauty, and authenticity that invites you to slow down, settle in, and truly feel the rhythm of real life in Puglia.

Each day, you’ll embark on wonderful experiences which Jayme has personally curated with the locals she knows. You’ll wander through the old world alleyways of Bari Vecchia with our guide Giorgio as he shares his passion for the city and its unique people. You’ll learn about Puglia’s cheeses (with a tasting) and be introduced to the nonnas (grandmothers) making their famous orecchiette pasta right on the street! You’ll wander, dine and shop in the historic town of Altamura, a perfect blend of culture, beauty, and soul. You’ll taste the liquid gold of freshly pressed Pugliese olive oil at a family-owned grove enjoying a gourmet dinner amongst the ancient trees at sunset in Gravina.

You’ll marvel at the stories Francesco shares about the famous white Trulli of Alberobello, the fairytale, cone-roofed homes named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They are considered a must-see in Italy! In Polignano a Mare, we’ll take a private boat ride with Nicolas through the crystal-clear waters exploring its sea grottos and delight in the breathtaking views of the turquoise Adriatic. You’ll wander through its enchanting old town, shopping in the boutiques and enjoying dinner under the stars.

Finally, you’ll travel to a once-forgotten city turned cultural treasure, Matera, one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited places to see the ancient cave dwellings carved into limestone cliffs. You’ll be blessed with a once-in-a-lifetime wine tasting in a Sassi cave serenaded by a musician with a private concert. Matera is a mesmerizing destination that feels like stepping back in time. I am absolutely blown away by the feeling in this city. You will be too!

So, my friend, come rejuvenate with me in Puglia. Let your spirit be infused by Italian culture and discover new ways to create positive energy and momentum in your life. You’ll experience “La Dolce Vita” with like-minded new friends in a beautiful part of the world. This journey isn’t just about the places you’ll visit, it’s about the memories, connections, and self-care that will make this a trip of a lifetime.

Retreat Leaders: Jayme Barrett

In the ancient town of Matera

Jayme Barrett

A California nature-lover, lifestyle expert, feng shui consultant, worldwide retreat leader and author of the best-selling book “Feng Shui Your Life,” Jayme Barrett’s happiest moments are spent sharing her positive lifestyle secrets with the world. She is passionate about leading her Rejuvenation Retreats. The main goal is to bring like-minded women together for a deeply joyful and fulfilling experience that will transform their lives.

At the end of a recent retreat season, Jayme shared “This year, 46 women felt part of a sacred sweet sisterhood where they could let down their guards and get back in touch with their own rhythm and desires, where they put themselves first and let go of daily routines. On retreat, they honor their feelings, learn ways to uplift their daily lives, see stunning places, have meaningful cultural experiences with locals, eat incredibly delicious food and belly laugh in some of the most beautiful places in the world. We are embraced in a circle of love, a circle of belonging, a circle of heart-centered connection, a circle of joy and peace … a circle of like-minded sisters.

The transformations in women from the opening circle to the closing circle are truly inspiring. Our conversations and “aha moments” have deep impact and change their lives. This is what they shared with me. At the end of our retreat, we take home our experiences and inspiration from the workshops to create more positive energy in our daily lives and the lives of those we touch including our family, community, co-workers, friends and the world at large. The world needs more places for true belonging, self-care, putting yourself first, joy and inspiration. My wish is to continue to facilitate these experiences for women for many years to come.

Jayme is an expert on Life Enhancement, Feng Shui and Manifestation, specializing in techniques for personal fulfillment, prosperity and integrated health. Jayme regularly shares her passion for inspired living in her writings for Whole Living, MindBodyGreen, Self Magazine, Health, Elle, Parents, Redbook and many more. In addition to feng shui consulting for individuals, companies, hotels and spas, Jayme leads lifestyle workshops worldwide. She has appeared in home-design TV segments for NBC, HGTV, Style Network, and E! Entertainment. Read more about Jayme at www.jaymebarrett.com

Yoga Teacher – Casey Coda

Casey is thrilled to be teaching yoga for us in Puglia this fall! This will be Casey’s eighth retreat with Jayme and she teaches a gentle and therapeutic yoga, including meditation, to provide people with a deep sense of peace, connectedness, stability, vitality, and clarity. She is a certified Yoga teacher, teacher trainer and yoga therapist guiding women towards a greater knowing of who they really are so they can feel good in a deeply authentic way.

Casey teaches yoga for all levels. Being aware that every physical body is different, she encourages her students to practice yoga in a way that feels right to them. It is not about the end result (a perfect yoga pose) but about your journey and ability at any given moment. Casey lives near the ocean in Los Angeles, is the youngest of 13 children and looks forward to sharing the mat with you.

Fun fact – Jayme and Casey met at university and were roommates for a couple years in their 20s. They’ve been doing spiritual work and exploring practices from around the world for many years.

Travel and Flights to Puglia

You will be responsible for booking your own travel and flights.

Participants from the United States will need to fly on Sunday September 20th in order to get to Puglia Italy on Monday, September 21st for the start of the retreat. There will be a group pick-up at 12:00pm at the Bari International Airport (BRI) on September 21st. Make sure your flight arrives by 10:30am so you are on time for the pick-up. It’s a 45 minute ride to our hotel in Altamura. Round-trip transfers to our hotel are included in the retreat fee. If you miss the pick-up, you’ll need to get a taxi. If you can arrive in Italy a day or two beforehand, it’s wonderful to get on the timezone and enjoy Puglia. Bari is a bustling city by the water.

BOOKING FLIGHTS

Check out www.skyscanner.com as a great way to see all the flight options although we recommend you booking directly with the airline. Most likely, you’ll have a stop-over in a European or Italian city on your way to Bari (BRI). You can also fly into Rome and take a short flight or 4 hour train to Bari. There is a new route on an Italian airline called NEOS that has a non-stop from JFK to Bari but only on certain days so feel free to check them out too. Also another airline called NORSE that flies direct to Rome. United Airlines say they will have a direct flight from NYC so feel free to look.

In general, if you have a layover, make sure you have at least 2.5 – 3 hours in your layover city (especially if it’s a “Self Transfer” because you’ll have to get your bags and check-in to your next flight) to get through immigration etc. Also, you might want to book FLEXIBLE flights that allow changes should you need it.

On Sunday, September 27th, the last day of the retreat, a group transfer back to Bari Airport will be arranged. Book your flight out of Bari at 11:00am or later. The transfer back to Bari airport is included in the retreat fee.

Medical Issues, Travel Insurance and Passport

COVID vaccinations and boosters are no longer required but are highly recommended. We encourage all participants to follow current CDC guidance and be up to date with all recommended vaccines, including COVID-19 and influenza.

If you have any medical issues that will require professional care while on your trip, you must bring and be responsible for all necessary items and treatments related to your condition. Before travelling with Jayme Barrett, we strongly recommend you review your personal insurance and health insurance to ensure you have coverage appropriate to meet your needs in case of any loss of property or illness, injury or death.

Insurance: The trip price does not include any insurance coverage, and Jayme Barrett requires the purchase of travel insurance to protect your trip investment in the event of medical emergencies, lost bags, a cancelled trip or any other unforeseen trip or pre-trip related event. It is strongly recommended that you obtain excellent medical and dental insurance that will cover the cost of any health assistance you may require during your trip. You can get travel insurance including medical through www.squaremouth.comwww.insuremytrip.com, www.worldnomads.com or call your travel agent. You need travel AND medical coverage. Review all plans carefully.

Many travel insurance companies are not covering travelers if they decide not to travel because of Coronavirus or any other risks. This is because Coronavirus is now considered a “known risk”, and travel insurance never covers “fear” as a reason to cancel a trip last minute. If you are worried about trip cancellation coverage, we recommend purchasing or upgrading your current plan to a “cancel for any reason” travel insurance plan. These plans are typically more expensive, but will give you the most likelihood of coverage should any event prevent you from traveling with us. It is your responsibility to confirm your travel insurance coverage.

Passport: Make sure your passport is up-to-date and it should be valid through April 2027. If you need to renew it, do it soon as it’s taking longer these days.

——————————————————————————————————————–
Cancellation Policies:

• Your deposit is non-refundable. Full payment is required within 65 days of departure. Cancellation from 65 days prior to 55 days prior: cancellation fee is 50% of total trip cost per person. The trip is nonrefundable inside of 55 days. If a replacement is secured, travelers will get a refund less $250.00

• If you wish to cancel the trip outside of 55 days, a written cancellation request is necessary.

No refund for unused portions of the retreat, including but not limited to, missed meals, hotel nights and sightseeing. No refunds or credits for failure to attend or failure to complete the retreat, or for arriving late or leaving early.

Cancellation by Jayme Barrett: Jayme Barrett reserves the right to cancel the trip at any time for any reason, including if there are too few participants, or if the quality of the trip or the safety of travelers is judged by Jayme Barrett in her sole discretion to be compromised. A refund of payments received by Jayme Barrett shall constitute full and final settlement. Jayme Barrett is not responsible for any loss incurred on account of non-refundable or non-transferable air tickets. Buy flexible tickets that are changeable to avoid this issue.

  • Travel insurance is required.
