Feng Shui Your Photos! (so they make you happy)
In my feng shui practice, it’s amazing how many clients have photographs displayed of people that make them unhappy or feel bad about themselves. If a person in a photo does not support and love you, it’s OK to put it away. If there is a group photo of a family gathering, only display the one where you actually like everyone in the shot. It’s important to have positive energy and people surrounding you in your home.
Photographs should be cleaned out and organized in boxes or albums (either hard copies or digital) Throw out or delete pictures you feel are not flattering or in which part of your body is cut off. Also discard photos taken at times when you were not happy. No rule dictates that you must treasure every picture you take. Do not keep copies or pictures that do not elicit a positive response. Clear your photo clutter!
If you want to bring in new love, take down photos displaying past partners. This should go without saying but I’ve seen it over and over again.
Replace the pictures you’ve removed with those of new friends, recent vacations, and joyful family occasions. Be sure to place these in attractive frames. As you organize your photos, enlarge new ones to replace old baby pictures, graduations, and other such events. Choose one with a new pose, background, people, or color. When you have seen the same photos around your house for many years, you may not even notice them anymore. Add new stimuli and fresh energy to your environment.
Surround yourself with happy memories and uplifting people as much as you possibly can!
